October 12 is National Farmers Day!
This fall, Pennypack Farm is planting seeds for the future – and we need your help to make them grow.
Funding that supports farms has been heavily scaled back by the federal government over the last two years and it’s up to us to make up any gaps we might experience as a result. And we know without farms, there is no food.
Starting on National Farmer’s Day (Oct 12), we will launch our fall appeal to raise $5,000 by October 30 for Pennypack’s farm education and food access programs. All gifts, big or small, will be matched by our board and closest friends dollar for dollar – up to $2,500. That means your support goes twice as far to:
- 🌾 Grow healthy, sustainable produce
- 🥕 Teach children where their food comes from
- 💚 Expand access to fresh food for local families
- 🌱 Teach the next generation of farmers our nationally recognized techniques
